Step-by-step directions to the Ruins of Nora archaeological park on the Capo di Pula promontory β including seasonal shuttle, parking, and ferry tips.
Head southwest from Cagliari on the SS195 Sulcitana coastal highway. The route hugs the southern coastline, passing through Sarroch and Villa San Pietro before reaching Pula after 40 km (roughly 35 minutes). At the Pula roundabout, follow signs for Nora / Spiaggia di Nora β the ruins are at the very end of Via Nora, on the promontory. Municipal parking is available at the large car park just before the entrance gate: β¬1.00/hour on weekdays, β¬1.50/hour on weekends, with a β¬6.00 flat full-day rate (pay at the solar-powered meter). A second free lot is available 400 m back near the Chiesa di Sant'Efisio, but fills quickly on summer weekends. Motorhome parking (camper service) is along Via Nora near the beach access point.
ARST Linea 129 leaves Cagliari Autostazione (Piazza Matteotti) every hour and reaches Pula in 50 minutes (β¬2.00ββ¬4.00). Get off at Pula β Via Corinaldi or Via Lamarmora. From the center of Pula, the Pollicino Shuttle runs every 20 minutes from May 1 to October 31, connecting Piazza del Popolo to the Nora Beach / Archaeological Park entrance for just β¬1.00ββ¬2.00. The shuttle is wheelchair-accessible and accepts cash only. Outside the shuttle season (NovemberβApril), walk the 2.8 km from Pula center or take a local taxi. Purchase ARST tickets via the Around Sardinia app or at the edicola near the Pula bus stop.
Ride-hailing apps such as standard Uber, Bolt, or Lyft do not operate in Sardinia. The itTaxi app connects you to licensed municipal taxi drivers across the island. Alternatively, call Radio Taxi Cagliari at +39 070 400 101. A metered taxi from Cagliari-Elmas Airport (CAG) to Nora costs approximately β¬55ββ¬70. For a fixed-rate private transfer, contact Sardinia Transfer at +39 327 283 8420 β they offer minivan service for groups of up to 8 passengers at β¬75 flat rate. Beware of the Pula Geographic Trap: never book services with a +385 country code, as that connects to Pula, Croatia, not Pula, Sardinia!
